What is GamesFyre?

Gamesfyre is a funding  platform designed to help developers get their name out there and collect funding all in one place. It is a revolutionary new funding platform built from the ground up, taking into account all the features game designers need.

We verify all creators and use a trust system to assure that all backers receive their rewards and the funds get used as supposed to.

How can I change my email adress and password?

You can change your email adress and your password on the “My Account” – page on top of the site.

How can I report something to GamesFyre?

If you found a bug or a project that seems inappropiate to you. please contact us via our contact form our reach out to us on our Discord server.

Is it guaranteed, that every campaign succeeds?

No, not every campaign can be successful, but we try our best to keep the rates as high as possible

What if I forget my password?

Don’t worry, you can set a new password with your e-mail adress. You will receive that redirects you to the same page where you set your password the first time.

Project Owner

How long does it take to create a new campaign?

We want to keep everything as simple as possible. Creating a campaign can be done in a few minutes.

Who can start a campaign?

Everyone who is of legal age can submit a project. This may depend of the country where you live. We assume it’s 18 for the most countries. You are generally not allowed to use our services if you are below the legal age in your country. If you are younger please use GamesFyre under parental advisory and let your parents set up a account for you.

Is it possible to delete my campaign?

Only campaigns that haven’t been successful funded, can be deleted.

Is it possible to change a running project?

You can edit your campaign any time. If your project is under moderation, you won’t be able to edit or visit your campaign.

How do I receive the collected money?

After your campaign reaches it’s funding goal, we’ll verify your project and your account. Your collected funds will be deposited in your Stripe account as soon as possible. Depending on your user status (verified/trusted) – this process can take up to 72 hours. We usually will release your funds in less than 24 hours. We will send you an confirmation mail as soon as the funds are released.

How can I communicate with backers?

Your supporters expect regular updates on your progress. You can add updates to your campaign by editing it. Another way to communicate with your supporters is the comment section of your project.

Do I need a Stripe account?

Right now we only accept payments with Stripe. You need a Stripe account to collect your funds if your campaign succeeds. We will provide additional gateways in the future.

How can I start a project?

You can start a project by clicking on the Submit project button on the top of the site. Please add all details about your project. We’ve collected some useful tips on creating a good project in our blog.

Can I add more than one picture to my project?

You should at least always add a title picture to your project. The cover picture is shown on all project summary pages. Videos can be added with the embed code of the video platform (e.g. YouTube). You can include additional media in your story.

I created a project but I doesn’t appear or I get a error

After you submitted your project it’s moderated by our team. If your project is compliant with our terms it’s published in less than 24 hours usually.

Can I collect my funds even when my campaign won’t succeed?

Yes you can collect funds if your campagne wasn’t successful. You have to manually request the release of the funds by contacting our support. Depending on your case we need up to 72 hours to process your request.

 

  • Your account has to be verified and/or you have trusted status
  • You are able to provide the rewards to the backers
  • You are communicating with your backers on a regular basis

We will take all details in consideration.

Backer

When will the money be charged from my credit card?

The money will be charged from your account as soon the project succeeds. In case the project does not reach it’s funding goal, your credit card will not be charged.

Can I hide my name as a Backer?

You don’t have to insert your real name in the funding form (but you real e-mail adress). You can use your username or any name, it helps us to identify you when you contact us.

Can I contact the developer?

Developers can add contact information in their profile. It’s not obligatory. In case you have some serious issues, please contact us first and we’ll try to find a solution together with the developer.

Another option is writing a comment in the comment section of the campaign.

Can I donate multiple times to the same project?

Basically, yes. But we recommend adjusting your reward. Just fund your new amount and we will cancel your old fund. Please tell us before you do so. If you want two rewards please check if this is compliant with the offer of the project starter.

How can I change my reward?

By now we can only change your reward manually. Please contact us, we will cancel your scheduled payment. You can choose your new reward before or after the process, just like you’ve choosen your previous reward.

When do I get my reward?

We can’t influence when you will receive your rewards. It depends on the time table of the creators. We recommend every project creator to put an estimated delivery in the reward description. Please contact the project creator if you have questions. If you feel like your reward is too delayed you can contact us and we try to communicate with the project owner.
